The Grand Palais in Paris is about to host a Helmut Newton retrospective featuring over 200 photographs, along with a film, Helmut by June, made by Newton’s wife of 60 years. Of course you may think of Newton and think of provocative, powerful nudes in black and white; cigarettes in hand and stilettos on foot. But this retrospective covers many more aspects of Newton’s photographic career.

If you’re not in Paris between March 24 and June 17, at which time the exhibition will run, you can still enjoy this preview video, cleverly conceptualised by Thomas Savary into a 3-dimentional effect.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
