What makes you love a fashion shoot? Is it the model, the clothing, the way the clothes are styled, the photography? It could be any or all of the above, but sometimes a shoot is great for something else: sometimes it’s the mood it evokes.

This is one of those shoots. Yes Dree Hemingway looks like a modern Daisy Buchanan; yes the styling by Bay Garnett is divine; and yes Tom Craig’s photography work is far from shabby. But all those things come together to create a mood, and that mood is one that I’m not sure even has a name. It’s carefree without being reckless, dreamy without being lazy; it’s kicking off one’s shoes and running through the sprinkler even when you’re wearing a designer dress.

Oh wait – that’s what it’s called – it’s called living. It’s living not because of luxury but regardless of it. Tom Craig captures life, and that is what ultimately makes me want to pin these smiling, dreaming, sun-on-face and wind-in-hair photos up on a wall somewhere.

Props to Vogue UK for a stand-out shoot – if this is anything to go by it’s an issue worth picking up in print.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
