Inside Anna Campbell’s new boutique

Anna Campbell has a very particular signature style, and it’s one we’ve watched flourish and evolve over the past several years. What used to be mainly short-hemmed pieces have grown longer in length, become subtler in their detailing, sharper in their construction, and more elegant overall – as if they’ve grown up from young party frocks into sophisticated bridal gowns. And beautiful bridal gowns they are. With her trademark approach of open backs and bare shoulders, flowing fabrics and unstructured bodices, they always maintain a sort of Grecian effortlessness.

Opening a long, bright boutique space in Melbourne‘s Sydney Road, Anna Campbell is bringing something different to a market that craves uniqueness and a personal touch. The walls are lined with gowns either perfectly suited to walking down the isle, or equally as suited to strutting a red carpet. And with the boutique allowing Campbell and her team the freedom to cater to their clientele in a very personalised way, there’s much chance that those types of frocks will be lining those walls for a long time to come.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
