Is this hardcore?

When we saw LOVE’s latest Kate Moss cover, we wondered about the issue’s title – This Is Hardcore – and what it would yield inside the magazine’s pages. Is Kate Moss locking lips with transgender model Lea T LOVE’s idea of Hardcore? Apparently, but we knew that from the cover. So what’s new inside?

There’s a fairly regular dose of nudity, some nice biker styling, and the addition of the ever-gorgeous Natalia Vodianova. But still nothing the fashion world hasn’t seen before, and certainly nothing we’d be game to label as ‘hardcore’.

A bad thing? Not at all – Mert and Marcus bring us a beautifully photographed black and white shoot, even if it doesn’t quite live up to the expectation set out by the title.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
