Jewellery with attitude: Ashley Smith

It doesn’t matter if it’s one solitary necklace or a whole treasure-trove of gold bangles and cuffs; Ashely Smith wears her jewellery with attitude. And it’s the jewellery that’s the focus of this shoot by Hicham Riad, silver or gold, shiny or matte, against a palette of all-black outfits.

The styling by Anne Rabeux is at its best when harder, faster, more fetishist – rather than when it sparkles bling-like against Ashley’s raucous attitude and fun poses. But in every shot, Riad brings out the best in the model, making for a jewellery shoot that’s a rock jewel indeed.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals.
