Karlie Kloss vamp, not vampire

For Carine Roitfeld’s Irreverent Ball some dressed as vampires, and some as vamps. The theme was angled towards the former though, thanks to those models with femme fatale blood running through their veins, there was always going to be a strong contingent of the latter. So what else could be expected of Karlie Kloss‘ arched brows and skyscraper legs?

And while we don’t necessarily think it’s time for her to lose that innate sense of classic glamour all together, there’s no faulting the confidence with which she pulls off this revealing cut-away dress. Revealing it may be, but it still fits within the bounds of that character she plays so well: the classic beauty updated for the modern day. No fancy hairstyles, no smoky eyes needed. As Kloss shows, keeping a fresh face is the perfect way to balance a dress such as this one.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
