Perhaps it was the success of the banned Calvin Klein advert that spurred it. Or perhaps it was the necessity to take it up another level past the prevalence of threesomes are the black.

Such are the times. And undoubtedly it won’t be long until one organisation or another comes out and slams this latest pictorial ‘trend’ as degrading society.

This particular shoot, featuring Kate Moss, comes from the March 2010 edition of Harper’s Bazaar (US). Shot by Peter Lindbergh only a few choice preview images are available yet; sadly one of them includes the cover. A cover which I’m prone to hate for the typicality of some fashion magazines in this day and age to simply slap text wherever is possible. I can’t even begin to imagine the creative process that allows such a thing to take place. No matter, as a subscriber only is also available featuring Moss, head turned, donning a leather piece from Balmain‘s Spring 2010 collection.

Late one Oxford night Daniel P Dykes set about creating a fashion publication that would go someway to being an arbiter on fashion as it appeals to the emerging power generations: those who don't remember a world without the Internet and for whom work plays second fiddle to pleasure. And so Fashionising.com was born as a publication for those who were focussed not just on fashion's trends, but on society's too, and how those trends could all go to heighten the art of living. Hence, Daniel sees a future where, for those young at heart, both fashion and style are grounded in traditional quality, but with a youthful, sensualised edge. Daniel is Fashionising.com's Editor in Chief and Chairman.
