Sexy and sweet are no strangers to each other, but rarely do they come together in such an explosive way.
Photographed in black and white by Timmothy Lee, Killing Me Softly is one of those works that needs no colour to tell its story. It’s an ultimate mix of innocent femininity and knowing sensuality. Take the Numb Hk and Yancy Ng styled outfit of a long dress with a shirred waist, almost rustic in its simplicity, fetishised by a leather harness. Or a girlish blouse with a peter-pan collar, its virtuous cut belied by dangerously see-through fabric. Even the poses and expressions in each frame convey the intriguing and conflicting mix of sweetness and sexuality.
The shoot’s title says it all: Eva Gii really is killing us softly.
