Nicholas Kirkwood’s trademark style is intricately cut-out, strapped, wound, bound and architecturally structured – though not always all at once – and that usually means the resulting piece of footwear has a very futuristic leaning. Not so in this case: this is Kirkwood gone sophisticated. The signature elements are there, but the earthy colour and tassel ties give these shoes a unique balance of future and classic.
