If Kristen Stewart‘s pictorial in the 40th anniversary issue of Interview evokes anything it’s that I couldn’t be more thrilled to see her mullet make way for the infinitely classier interpretation of the short black hairstyle we saw on her at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Sadly the Joan Jett mullet didn’t make way for Stewart’s new hairstyle until after Craig McDean had a chance to photograph it. But that’s not to say that it doesn’t work for the pictorial. Pass judgment yourself by clicking through the pictures below.
