It may not get the same mainstream media attention as the rest of L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF), but the student designer showcase is always one worth watching. As well as bringing to light new and innovative designs, those featured in this parade often go on to become big names in Australian fashion.

This year, the designers featured were Sonya Kraan, Sarah MacDonell, Joanna Ford, Harmony Lam, Nikolina Kucan, Alexis Belcher, Sarah Schofield and Michelle Czech.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person.
