When it comes to Lady Gaga… unless I see you wearing a mechanism that looks like an electric sparkling ribcage that lights up while you smash a glass case with a mic stand to get to your grand piano, which proceeds to then be lit on fire while you smash glass wine bottles to the beat of your aching heart, then please don’t underestimate the Gaga.

Not only is Lady Gaga doing what everybody else in popular culture has been scared to do (take a chance and break some glass) but she steps outside the box into another universe that maybe only David Bowie’s been to.

The music form the 60′s and 70′s has lasted through the years because it was the first of its kind, and came out not only in the form of music, but as a piece of art. London punk was revolutionary not only because there was a reason to cry out anarchy, but because the ability to practice freedom of expression finally gave the misfits the gusto to scream loud and play hard. With her fearless recreation of shoulder pads and crossed legs at the piano, how could you not fall in love. It’s refreshing to see someone finally break the “pop mold” and take who she is to a new plateau of personal style, all the while in Vivienne Westwood and latex.

Here is the Gaga herself for January’s ELLE Magazine, US.
