Upon hearing the name Lara Stone the mental picture I conjure up is something of a mix between gapped teeth, big hair and bigger breasts. As chauvinist as that may sound the fact remains that with her unequalled curves, Stone has been a favourite of the nudity trend. While that may have previously led to accusations of a lack of diversity on Stone’s part, such prejudices are sure be undone with the September 2009 issue of Vogue Paris if, like me, you do a double-take when told that it’s Lara Stone who graces the cover.

Soft and feminine, scant in sexuality while oozing vulnerability are two ways one might choose to describe the cover. Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, and styled by Carine Roitfeld it seemingly leads the way into an editorial which promises a feminine sensuality we haven’t come to expect of Stone.

Pictures from the editorial are currently limited and poor in quality, but can be found by clicking on the thumbnails below.

Late one Oxford night Daniel P Dykes set about creating a fashion publication that would go someway to being an arbiter on fashion as it appeals to the emerging power generations: those who don't remember a world without the Internet and for whom work plays second fiddle to pleasure. And so Fashionising.com was born as a publication for those who were focussed not just on fashion's trends, but on society's too, and how those trends could all go to heighten the art of living. Hence, Daniel sees a future where, for those young at heart, both fashion and style are grounded in traditional quality, but with a youthful, sensualised edge. Daniel is Fashionising.com's Editor in Chief and Chairman.
