One of the great things about V Magazine’s homage to Elizabeth Taylor is the inclusion of the little snippets and quotes that pepper the editorials. Even from those few words here and there can you get a sense of the colourful life she led. The issue is covered by Kate Winslet but inside the pages do many a model and celebrity have their skin powdered, their brows preened, and their fingers iced with diamonds for the Carine Roitfeld-styled issue.

Lara Stone was amoung them, wigged and suitably made up. Diamonds, naturally, were a mandatory inclusion.

I love the vintage-modern styling by Carine, but somehow I can’t help but feel the shoot falls a bit flat. I suppose a sparkling quality like Taylor’s is hard to imitate on command.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
