There are some trends that have forged lasting partnerships, trends that are effective in solitude but especially so when worn in tandem. Here’s one such pairing: the rock-chic indie fringe and androgyny.
Melissa Stasiuk stars in this shoot with equal billing to Veronique Didry’s styling, the stand-out co-star of the production. Didry works a little bit of effortless androgyny into every outfit: a white ribbed tank under an ornately fringed skirt; a denim jacket over a beaded evening gown; a staple pair of lace-up combat boots under pretty much anything.
Richard Bush‘s simple black and white photography fits with the vintage rock mood of the shoot, which is from Vogue Russia’s April 2012 issue.
Messy fringe perfectly styled by James Rowe and makeup by Mickael Noiselet, the full shoot can be viewed at the gallery above.
