Akiss Paraskevopoulos‘ recent video Petites Gouttes De Soleil was all about the mood. It flickered with the obscurity of another era; the clothing more a contribution to the mood than the cause of it.
In the final photoshoot, however, the styling no longer frolics at the edge of the greater picture. Instead it’s beautifully captured both in detail and as part of the Gothic setting. Martha Dimaki’s styling knowingly contrasts the hard and the soft, be it sheer layers paired with heavy combat boots, or a soft milkmaid braid worn with Maria Mastori’s dark jewellery pieces.
If the titular drop of golden sun weaving its way through Akiss’ photos doesn’t woo you – though surely it must – then perhaps the dark yet feminine styling will.
