What would the pinup girl of the 1950s look like if you redrew her in the modern day? Odds are, a little something like this.
It’s not about tight curls and full-cupped conical bras, but rather it’s the essence of a pinup girl transposed to fit with 2012′s fashions. Short shorts or hot pants are almost mandatory, as are tight sweaters that call to mind the “sweater girl” looks of the ’50s only without the exaggerated bustline underneath. And while gingham, candy colours and wedged shoes are all styled into Geraldine Saglio’s mix they’re done so with a sense of modern effortlessness.
