He came to most people’s attention as the photographer who made raw, amateur-feeling photography fashionable, and now his style has transformed into something that seems to frequently mix a subdued feeling of his trademark raw technique with 1980’s glam. That much I know of Terry Richardson. What I don’t know is if his newly adapted style, this time around featuring supermodel Natasha Poly as the subject, is constructed out of true appreciation for the look, or is done with a tongue-in-cheek, ironic slant.
