Naturally Marilyn: vintage inspiration

Think of Marilyn Monroe and the beach, and you probably think of pin-up bikinis and glamour. But in this photo by George Barris she’s natural, vulnerable, wrapped in a hooded jacket and streaked with dirty sand, and looks all the better for it.
