It's not a pretty sight to behold, but Nolita hope it will sell their clothes. 23 year old anorexic Isabelle Caro posed for the label's latest campaign, which aims to both shock and make a statement. That statement: assumedly, Nolita don't support anorexic models.
Controversy has already erupted over the campaign, which was shot by Oliviero Toscani, with some saying it's too crass, and others claiming it will spark a weight-loss competition amongst anorexia sufferers.

Yes, the ad gives a shocking realisation of the dangers of anorexia. But putting Isabelle Caro next to a runway model actually highlights the difference between a model and a true anorexia sufferer. Most models look healthy in comparison, don't they?
Certainly the desire to be thin can lead to eating disorders; but should the fashion industry really be held responsible? And should Nolita really be exploiting a girl suffering anorexia to sell clothing?
