Aside from the rustic styling of bonnets and milkmaid braids, lacework and peasant skirts, there’s more to be admired in this shoot starring Julia Hafstrom and Linnea Regnander. First of all, it’s beautifully shot on European countryside by Peter Farago. Secondly, it’s epic.
The photos come from a project called Norther Women In Chanel, a literal title if ever there was one. It features 45 models of Scandinavian and Baltic descent, wearing Chanel. If anything at all.
Farango’s wife Ingela Klemetz Farago styled the looks in the collaborative project, which is on display at the photographic museum Fotografiska in Stockholm.
“With unlimited access to Chanel’s archives, the duo shot close to 300 looks by the house in little over a year, including one-of-a-kind pieces dating back to the early 1920s,” it’s reported.
While this is just a small portion of the project, you can view more of Hafstrom and Regnander in Chanel at the gallery above.
