When writing our hot pants fashion trend guide I was certain that we’d see plenty of the look in the season’s pictorials, and we have. I didn’t doubt that the look would be seen in any number of night spots, and it has. But that we’d see it featured amongst our street fashion style photos? Of that I wasn’t so sure. It was bound to be worn, but not commonly. And that a street style photographer would be on hand? Even less of a chance.

But with high-Summer 2010 fashion now with us, here it is. Click the picture for the rear view, and expect another take on the trend very soon.

This is what I have found a problem for me...I adore short shorts, I am Australian after all heheeee. And whilst short, they are fine from the front but the back is always like that and I WISH I had that kind of confidence to be comfortable out in public like that!!!

My pure-male side goes 'rawr', my old fuddy-duddy side wants to tell her to go home and put on some pants.

I think, all in all, I approve - and, she seems happy in them, so... where's the harm?

well, i lurve the look and would deffo wear it, however i too cannot feel like everyone is staring at my ass and shakin their heads. Ha x but luvin the look, espeically the top paired with the necklace. Though i would let the model hav her hair down and squirted some salt spray so it had some texture.

Late one Oxford night Daniel P Dykes set about creating a fashion publication that would go someway to being an arbiter on fashion as it appeals to the emerging power generations: those who don't remember a world without the Internet and for whom work plays second fiddle to pleasure. And so Fashionising.com was born as a publication for those who were focussed not just on fashion's trends, but on society's too, and how those trends could all go to heighten the art of living. Hence, Daniel sees a future where, for those young at heart, both fashion and style are grounded in traditional quality, but with a youthful, sensualised edge. Daniel is Fashionising.com's Editor in Chief and Chairman.
