This shot was taken in Sydney during RAFW (Australian fashion week), by the fantastic Giang Cao of Through The Looking Glass.

The dress is pretty much my fail-safe LBD; it’s Grecian style with gold embroidery and I picked it up for just a couple of bucks at a thrift store once (and have more than gotten my money’s worth since!) The black leather harness with gold horse-shoe detailing is by Jane Is. Jane makes a whole range of beautiful braided leather accessories and I got plenty of wear out of mine during RAFW. I just placed an order for one in whiskey brown leather with gold hardware, which I can’t wait to experiment with (you can wear them as necklaces, harnesses, belts – you name it.)

Thanks to Giang for the photo. You can see his original post at Through The Looking Glass.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
