Phoenix Keating’s latest collection takes the name DE-SEX, but it’s not to be mistaken with the kind of de-sexing that takes place at a veterinary clinic. No, rather it’s about “the de-sexualisation of fetish.” The fetish elements in question are the likes of latex and rope binding but, as Keating says, “I’m taking something that would otherwise seem overtly sexual and trying to transform it into something quite light and wearable.”

Keating took his collection to the runway in Sydney proving that his mission to transform the fetishist into the wearable was successfully accomplished. Adding to the brilliance is the Henryk Lobaczewski photographed campaign, which plays with stark settings, slightly displaced objects, and distorted upwards angles making everything seem a little larger than life, a little dream-like.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
