Rising star Nikicio

Nikicio flew onto our radar at the recent Indonesia fashion week, with a collection that struck me as being stitched together with the very threads of youth. With pockets already stuffed full of awards and acknowledgements, including Best Young Indonesian Designer of the Year by Elle Magazine Indonesia and The Fashion Machine by Rolling Stones Indonesia, the label is a star that’s quickly rising. DEW Magazine’s 4th issue tips its hat in tribute to Nikicio, with a dedicated shoot as well as an exclusive interview with the designer.

Beautifully shot by Teuku Ajie, with styling by Hakim Satriyo, the shoot gives a slightly darker spin to Nikicio’s effortless and whimsical pieces. View it in full at the gallery above.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
