If a cocktail of hot pink, fluro yellow, roller skates, lycra and lame reminds you of a childhood in the ’80s then it may be time to reconsider that association; because said mix just grew up. Photographing a roller girl fantasy in Los Angeles (where else?) is Ben Watts, taking the role of nudity in fashion to places rarely seen. Rarely seen because the shoot trades nudity-as-sexual for nudity-as-fun. Rarely seen because the models look to be having such a rollicking good time. Rarely seen because, far from the sensual lace stockings and heels, it’s nudity accessorised only by bright plastic-framed sunglasses and neon striped socks. It’s in that freshness, that unique approach, that we’re reminded of why we consider Treats! magazine – in which this shoot appears – to be ‘new media’. And it’s in that feeling of freshness and fun that the shoot’s sexiness lies.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
