Last we interviewed Vivienne Mok she told us she would describer her work as ‘sensual’, not necessarily ‘erotic’. Not that she has anything against the latter term – it’s just not a conscious effort to create something that fits within it. Whether or not this series for LoveSexDance magazine could be boxed up and shipped off with that label is a subjective question, but one would have to concede that it’s dipped in sensuality at the very least. As with much of Mok’s work that sensuality is tied up in a feeling of femininity and innocence; a backdrop of tulle, floral wallpaper, and blossoming roses adds to the youthful beauty and dreamy quality of the shoot.
