Because, as I was just riffing upon in relation to Miranda Kerr’s bared body for Industrie magazine, nudity and fashion have progressed to a more artistic level, the presence of a raw shoot that basks in the flat light and obvious redeye of the camera flash is almost refreshing. Not that we don’t love the former; but we also appreciate the latter more when in a lower quantity.
For this shoot titled ‘Fruit’ Marlijn Hoek is the one exposed (take that with a dual meaning if you will) by the camera flash. Janneke van der Hagen’s shoot pairs a Repunzel-like braid with kitschy tropical settings; an unusual and eye-catching combination.
