Subfusco as an Australian label are going from strength to strength. Their Spring/Summer 2010 collection – titled ‘Collective Species’ – stands out as designer Joshua Roberto Scacheri’s best yet. On the runway at High Fashion, High Tea each outfit coherently fit with the story behind the collection: hope for humanity in a post-apocalyptic world.

The references to a bare and ravaged world are clear. Fabrics are natural, cuts unassuming; fabric remnants wound around the feet as makeshift shoes complete the post-apocalyptic scene. Yet there’s a brightness and strength to the pieces which represents renewal – the dawning of a new age.

Stay tuned as this is one label we’ll be keeping an eye on. Visit http://www.subfusco.com/ for more – or click on the gallery below for the full photo coverage of Subfusco at High Fashion, High Tea 2009.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
