Part of the beauty of sweeping pleated dresses is that they work so well in all kinds of colours. Something about a pleated skirt, no matter how vibrant or bold, colour just seems to work with them. And what more fitting a colour for a dress of sunray pleats than silk as golden yellow as sunrays themselves.
And so it was that I stumbled across this shoot by photographer Mariah Jelena, and fell in love particularly with this shot. Unfortunately she gives little away as to the designer, it simply says “clothes by Ruki” and that’s all the information I have.
