We’ve had many a discussion in our office about the role of nudity in fashion, none have ever agreed with some of the correspondance we receive stating that it has no place (such correspondence is never that nicely put mind you, it’s normally a rant about how disgusting nudity is). It’s an issue that Fashionising.com contributor, Timmothy Lee, has opted to tackle in his latest editorial for us, La Rose Noire.

The shoot’s nudity is slight with the human form obvious, the nudity not, and sensuality at the fore.

Timmothy tells us that he approached the subject matter of nudity and fashion as a result of some people saying that “nudity isn’t fashion.” It certainly isn’t clothing, but as Timmothy says of the issue:

What really makes a person fashionable is not what one wears, what brands they wear, but it’s actually the identity of the person – a fashion statement one’s making through dress code, lifestyle and ideas.

Timmothy Lee‘s full photo shoot with model Lauren Hardy can be seen by clicking on the thumbnails below. If it’s aesthetic appeals I’d recommend you look at more of his contributions to Fashionising.com including the similarly black and white Dark Matter.

Late one Oxford night Daniel P Dykes set about creating a fashion publication that would go someway to being an arbiter on fashion as it appeals to the emerging power generations: those who don't remember a world without the Internet and for whom work plays second fiddle to pleasure. And so Fashionising.com was born as a publication for those who were focussed not just on fashion's trends, but on society's too, and how those trends could all go to heighten the art of living. Hence, Daniel sees a future where, for those young at heart, both fashion and style are grounded in traditional quality, but with a youthful, sensualised edge. Daniel is Fashionising.com's Editor in Chief and Chairman.
