One thing is certain. When the Fall 2010 collection from Topshop Unique hits the store’s website, I’m going on a spending spree.

At times completely crazy (busy eyebrows and cavewoman hair, anyone?) and for the most part utterly lust-worthy, the looks range from girl scout to military to furry forest animal. And it’s the accessories – oh the accessories! – that many a girl will be hunting down come Winter; with stiff leather boots that bear not a minor resemblance to Gucci‘s Devendra boots from a few seasons ago, prim leather satches and utility belts, and leather harnesses.

The heavy wool over the knee socks and tights give a cosiness to the outfits that makes you want to escape to a log cabin in the snow and drink marshmellow topped hot chocolates in front of a blazing fire.

Unique – indeed. But more so, it’s the accessibility of the Topshop Unique label to bring 2010′s fashion trends to the masses in an appealing, high quality way that makes this collection a stand out.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
