Vintage inspiration: nautical nice, 1937

Nautical stripes for Summer have been a staple for decades. Most certainly since at least 1937 when Pierre Brissaud illustrated this cover for Ladies’ Home Journal. Everything about this look still works today: a cute headscarf, red lipstick and some crisp blue and white stripes.
