Wearable yet sexy denim: Jess Hart

When we last interviewed Jess Hart she was busy launching her clothing line at Selfridges in London, but that didn’t mean her modelling career had been put on hold; anything but. In the August 2011 issue of US Elle, Hart gets back in front of the camera and does what she does best. That is, effortlessly sexes up some otherwise casual pieces, in this case mostly denim.

So if the future of denim is bright, and the industry is proving it is, then here’s some inspiration on getting new life out of your jeans and denim jackets and chambray shirts. Particularly worth noting is the versatility of a good lace bodysuit or fur coat in feminising any casual denim look.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
