Welcomed to the weekend by Vogue Paris

If any single photo shoot from the June / July 2011 issue of Vogue Paris can leave you without a doubt that the magazine’s editor-in-chief Emmanuelle Alt intends to do as she promised and make it a title for ‘real life‘ girls, then it’s this one. Decidedly young and equally dressed down, this is certainly the photo shoot for reality. One that is more likely to inspire how you dress for your weekends throughout summer 2011 then inspire the fantasy that other photo shoots do.

So here, on the eve of yet another weekend, is some inspiration on how you can casually style yourself for the long, hot weekends ahead.

After all, most everything has its place in fashion. Whether or not such a pared down photo shoot has its place in Vogue Paris is really up to its readers. On one side it’s appropriate in that the readers in the shoot’s intended age group dresses casually during some part of their week, whether or not they wish to pay for the title to inspire their casual dressing is an argument on the other side of the coin.

Having flown over 590,000 kilometres in a single year (2012), he’s done much to push the boundaries of a fashioniser, always looking to fold one extra Tom Ford suit into his set of Samsonite cases and for one extra occasion to tie a tie for. As much an editor-at-large as he is Fashionising.com’s Editor-in-chief, when he's not travelling to all the fashion weeks his passports will allow him to, Daniel works on guiding this publication’s editorial and trend views.
