Who am I? Guess the icons in Tatler

What is fashion, if not a constantly spinning merry-go-round of ideas and inspirations? Always drawing on the past, even when dreaming about the future, there are particular icons that crop up time and again as that big wheel turns. If you were to openly confess to the ever-spinning, cyclical nature of fashion and illustrate it in a shoot, the concept may equate to this: a cheeky glance at current season pieces through the icons that inspired them.

Titled Don’t You Know Who I Am?, it’s a Robert Trachtenberg photographed series that plays on fame and imitation and let’s you fill in the blanks.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
