Wild on bear mountain

The wilderness of a state park, mountainous and overgrown, bordered by the cold clear water. Such a setting is want to draw the mind to all things wild and free.

While an eclectic series of images starring three different models – Rasa Zukauskaite, Iekeliene Stange and Cora Keegan – Michael Donovan’s shoot Bear Mountain has that theme of wildness as a running thread throughout. It doesn’t matter if it’s edgy styling and wild-eyed looks from Rasa or bare feet, woollen knits and naked skin from Cora; each of these girls is experiencing the wilderness in a different way.

While contrasting in styling to Donovan’s shoot of an Americana Abby Brothers, both shoots appear in the 5th issue of Smug magazine. You can view Bear Mountain in full at the gallery above.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
