Wildfox’s spring 2012 look book brings us gun-slinging cowgirls in the dusty, wind-blown surroundings of the West; but it’s a modern take, where hooped skirts are worn with cropped tees, and pistols are as long as platform shoes are tall.

While the black coaches, veils and dramatic photography by Emir Eralp are a little True Grit, it’s Brigitte Bardot in Shalako that springs to mind as the vintage inspiration behind the ruffled petticoats and bed hair.

If the slogans blazing across the t-shirts in Wildfox’s Wild West are anything to go by, the girls are Wanted and proud of it, they never love a Cowboy, and they most definitely rule the town.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person.
