A denim-clad glamazon

Denim has a long and colourful history, having morphed itself from workwear to ubiquitous staple of the casual wardrobe, with instances of sophistication, rock’n'roll and pure sex as just some of the stops in between. Celebrating the latter – the sexy side of denim – is an editorial by Iban Montero unambiguously titled Hot Denim.

Cut-off denim shorts accentuate long, lean legs. Full length jeans are skinny cut to become a second skin. And heightening the effect of model Rosana as a towering, denim-clad glamazon is Montero’s use of upward angles and a stark white backdrop, the latter giving no visual clues of Rosana’s height or proportions.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
