The casual and chic style of sports wear has quickly its way into the fashionable style of spring 2013. This minimalistic and yet luxurious style of dress creates a new type of femininity and elegance for those with a sporty aesthetic attached to their style.
Photographer Stefan Dani captures a fashion shoot that represents this luxe athletic wear with the simplicity and smoothness that the clothing itself represents. The notions of ‘casual chic’ ooze from every pore of this shoot, expressing with subtle exactitude the lightness and ease of this take on the athletic look. Fashion editor, Ana Nechita Amelian, focuses on the uniqueness of this spring’s twist on the sporty look: mesh skirts and shirts, streamlined silhouettes with layered additions, boobtube-style sports bras, relaxed jacket blazers.
Hair, by Amdreea Dumitrescu, is done with this same attitude in mind; clean and sleek – either tied back in a feminine and simple ponytail, hanging easily down model Ioni Muresan’s side or loosely notched back in a slack bun. There is nothing tense or strained about the look – it is easygoing and plays around those same ideas of casual chic. Dumitrescu also makes use of a thick material headband, a favourite in the sporting apparel world.
Make-up, done by Alexandra Craescu, is done with a distinct womanly touch – emphasising the inherent features of posh red lips and delicate porcelain skin – showing us that this 2013 twist is also for a girl’s girl.
Dani creates a shoot that simply puts forth exactly the type of tone and ease that this sense of dress evokes – it is clear and defined, with all the implants of the softness and stylishness of an individual woman.
