A woman content: faulted, flawed and totally indifferent

By bringing together touches of androgyny and touches of femininity photographer Anton Zemlyanoy and stylist Jana Bartolo have created a fashion shoot that is not only sexually charged, but edgy and mystifying. Smokey makeup (done by Desiree Wise) and wild hair (by Koh Tanyawanichapong) enforce the notions of effeminate unruliness; a naughty grin accompanied by an alluring gaze.

The attire that the model, Amelia Zardo, has been placed in has androgynous elements to it: biker gloves, heavily studded leather jackets and neck ties, adding components of interest and intrigue to the look as a whole. In strong feminine contrast Zardo is also wearing clothing with distinctively womanly finishes; jewelry, skirts and material.

The muted colours and varying materials create looks that can be mixed and matched, changed according to the situation and suited towards the wearer. Zemlyanoy and Bartolo come together to create portraits that are stylish and modern, suiting the miscellaneous woman in an alternating world of fashion and form.

Born into the humble town of Franschhoek, South Africa it was little wonder that Chevaun Roux would find her flavour in life through good food, good wine and stylish apparel. After completing a Bacherlors Degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics the world of freelance writing became the first choice in occupation, with no regrets and having never looked back. With a zest for anything with colour, vibrance and essence she found herself diving further into the world of fashion and design; from thifting vintage wedding dresses to pouring through new and modern jewelry pieces. This self anointed bohemian indentity believes in all the partisan revolutionary ideals of love, beauty and freedom, and when she isn’t writing or editing you can find her at the kitchens helm creating her latest milkshake masterpiece.
