Having a famous (or infamous) sibling is the kind of double-edged sword that opens doors and lowers expectations all at the same time; spurring some people to lazily ride on the coat-tails of their famed relatives and others to work six times as hard to prove they’re doing exactly the opposite. The little sisters and daughters and cousins of Hollywood are the ones who have much to prove.
Ali Lohan has the toughness of her older sister Lindsay, only with added height and minus the global notoriety. Photographer Jesse Untracht-Oakner (juophoto.com) saw her portfolio and “thought she would be a perfect edgy, sexy, tough girl”, deciding to let her natural persona shine through in a shoot for Relapse magazine.

Styling by Brandy Joy Smith is a collision of effortlessness, grunge, and glamour; hair by Lizzie Anderson (messy, eye-dusting bags and sleepy waves) and makeup by Alexandrea Kwiatkowski perfectly compliment the tough-yet-beautiful vision captured by Untracht-Oakner’s lens.
