All aboard the Marrakesh Express: Saveus

Saveus’ spring / summer 2012 campaign doesn’t just hint at the collection’s inspirations; it picks you right up and immerses you in them. The creative pair behind the label – Karima Hazim and Jarred Baker – make for a dream team when it comes to putting such a campaign together. Jarred Baker did the art direction and set design, recreating the magic of Morocco in a little corner piled high with cushions and fruit baskets, luxurious fabrics and palms.

Saveus’ outfits, as styled by Karima Hazim, beg to be taken somewhere exotic – whether physically or in the wearer’s imagination. Somewhere that incense breathes the balmy air, streets are bustling and colours vivid. The palette of fuchsia, coral and neon chartreuse is just right for the scene, as vibrantly captured by photographer Shxpir Huang in every shot.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals.
