If there’s one thing Witchery are doing incredibly well this season, it’s making a palette of black, white and grey appear as utterly fresh, edgy and effortless. That all comes down to luxe wintery fabrics and modern-classic shapes, not to mention the irressistable allure of campaign face Arizona Muse.
Muse stars alongside blue-eyed Polish native Greg Nawrat in the Witchery and W.MAN autumn / winter 2014 campaign, shot in clean, minimalistic surrounds that only serve to compliment the collection’s aesthetic. For the women’s collection, stand-out pieces like a grey funnel-necked coat, leather trumpet skirt, and triple-buckled boots are the kinds of pieces undoubtedly set to become lasting wardrobe staples (indeed, I have my eye on all three). Sports influenced leather track pants are heightened by the addition of feminine camisoles and soft wool knits.
For the menswear, Nawrat is a perfect blend of retro and contemporary in tousled quiffs and leather jackets, tailored pants and classic overcoats, in a collection where no division is made between weekend or work, night or day. And rightly so: what man doesn’t want his wardrobe working for him around the clock?
