Film noir styling and black temptation define a fashion shoot that is steeped in emotion and repose. Photographer Nico Kroon and stylist Alexandra Calmero create a shoot that finds its inspiration and originality in the musical hues of Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black.
The fashion pictorial reveals a story centred around model Louise and the black attire that drapes her body. From the fragile and mournful apparel of netted veils to the sexual and alluring pieces of lace underwear, sequenced black tights and feather-lined jackets. The colour black plays a central role and defines the theme of the shoot; it symbolises everything that is secret and dark, it represents the anarchy and sorrow of love, and yet simultaneously reveals the elegance and temptation of the female form. Hair and makeup by Dainora Dulcyte follows through with this theme; voluptuous curls frame dark eyes and full red lips.
