It’s time for a shameful confession. Despite bringing you a detailed, 60s sex-kitten infused bright liquid eyeliner tutorial that’s impossible not to love, I haven’t yet taken my own interpretation for a spin. Now, with another example of the look cropping up in the December 2011 issue of Flare magazine, there couldn’t be better inspiration to rectify the situation come the weekend. The only remaining question is which colour to indulge in?

As demonstrated by both our how-to and Flare’s editorial, it’s a vintage inspired look that’s best paired with equally bold lips. If you want to get on it ahead of the pack, you can follow our tutorial at the link above.

My favourite look it may be, but there’s certainly no excuse to overlook the rest of the Flare editorial. Titled Mane Attraction it’s a careful cut of only the most exploratory yet wearable hair and makeup looks. The hair was created by stylist Danilo with makeup by Greg Wencel.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
