It’s not a deep sorrow, but it’s not exactly lightheartedness either, it’s the kind of blues you can’t help but swim in whenever you find yourself lost in an uncanny place, built whole with both fascination and mystery. It’s beauty veiled by melancholia, cast in an autumnal landscape made eerie with smoke and mist, and brought to life with bold splashes of colour. And it’s Radek Nieroda’s way of painting solitude using sweet metaphors and Konstancja’s delicate presence.
Casting light on ladylike silhouettes that bear retro, bohemian and minimalistic influences, the melancholic aura mimics the impression left by a few shy rain drops on an autumn evening’s pathway. It’s dissonant, it’s growing, it’s affecting, but it’s still beautiful down to its very core.
