It’s a feeling many of us go through, especially during our formative years: boredom, aloneness, feeling like the world is too big and our own space too small. We’re confined to school, to our home town; we walk listlessly, we sit sullenly, we look for some mischief to make the devil’s work of idle hands or we simply spend our time daydreaming, taking ourselves off to the big wide world beyond. Big Times by Francesco Trombetti recreates that shared place we inhabit during our adolescence. Model model Jacopo Bartolozzi plays the bored teen, trapped in a high school world, with youthful, streetwear infused styling by Maria De Los Angeles Monari.
As for the title, Trombetti explains that it’s not just about that time of being a bored teen waiting for life, but about the things we miss. “As the hours were slowly passing and the sound of the soles shuffling on the pavement were echoing between the walls, probably no one was aware of it, of the greatness of the details, of the moment itself… Yeah, big times.”
