Daniel P Dykes in Vogue Paris Hommes

The air was particularly glacial on the day of the Paul Smith menswear show in Paris, and the snow was falling in big, icy flakes. But one who knows the value of a three-piece suit, and the necessity of the right accessories in winter, always has a little colour in his cheeks. Our own Daniel P Dykes is well versed in the mathematics of warmth to the power of style: photographed by Saskia Lawaks for Vogue Paris on his way into the Paul Smith show wearing a Margiela three-piece suit tucked into Burberry shearling-lined aviator boots and fur-lined leather gloves, the cold air further combated by a charcoal grey Armani overcoat.

Suits and boots, not such a bad combination at all for weather like this.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
