Away from any overly-lavish settings, Haute Couture pieces can look strangely and surprisingly wearable. That’s one of the takeaways from Benjamin Kanarek’s latest white-walled editorial for Elle Vietnam, in which Canadian covergirl Dauphine McKee wears an array of impressively detailed outfits and more than one pair of sneakers.
Moving through a spectrum of colours and styles, Kanarek’s shoot is like a visually stunning catalogue of the spring 2014 couture season’s key pieces. From Elie Saab’s billow of soft blue chiffon to Chanel’s sequin-covered trainers and feathers, Gaultier’s fuchsia butterfly lace to Vauthier’s vampish oxblood bralet, there’s no outfit that fails to leave an impression.
